The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/69\/wr\/mm6936a4.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">41%<\/span><\/a> of adults<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> either avoided or delayed medical care due to the COVID-19 pandemic for fear of contracting the disease. The same report states that 32% of adults abandoned primary care services altogether due to the restrictions placed by the virus.
